How I Avoided A Trip To The Dentist

My teeth have always been looked after and I’ve had no problems that required any treatment, all that was needed was a check-up every so often. That was until I felt that dreadful pain in my back tooth. (I thought years of having a chocolate addiction have finally come back to haunt me.) 

This pain was so bad and wasn’t just when I ate sweet things, everything I ate hurt that one tooth (which I’m sure many people can relate with). One thing I didn’t mention was that I’m not a fan of the dentist (Who Is?)The sound of the drill drifting out the room would send shivers up my spine while in the waiting room. 

The dentist told me I would need a root canal and was on the waiting listing for the next few months. I knew I wouldn’t be able to cope with having any intrusive treatment without being knocked out, so thought to myself there must be a way I can avoid this trauma at all costs.

So I took it upon myself to do extensive research to see what I could do to avoid this, so watched a few health/ lifestyle podcasts and YouTube videos in my spare time which I found helpful also very interesting as they made me understand the benefits of how this combination works and showed me that I may be able to reverse the damage and ultimately repair my tooth.

The Moral of the story is that I didn’t need the root canal after all! after a few months I got a call from the dentist to which my heart sank. I had stopped feeling any pain in that tooth and did inform him that I won’t be needing a root canal anymore. He was adamant that I still needed to come in for him to take a look, so off I went to prove myself. 

After I had an X-Ray his exact words to me were:

 “In my 10 years as a dentist I’ve never seen tooth regrowth like this before or knew it was possible, you will not need the procedure, how did you do this?” I explained my routine, therefore left him in shock and disbelief.

What I did

I started taking a combination of Calcium, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 which was the reason my tooth started healing so quickly. I used fluoride toothpaste, changed my eating habits including cutting sugar out of my diet completely and regularly used mouth wash including coconut oil pulling. 

Simple as that!

The Steps I took

Step 1.  Avoid excess sugar or completely remove from your diet and replace with either Stevia, Manuka honey or Dates. Avoid alcohol and fizzy drinks.

Step 2.  Add Probiotic-rich foods into your diet such as cheese, Yoghurt, Kefir and Omega 3 fatty acids foods such as Mackerel and Flax seeds.

Step 3.  Start taking these Three Fat-soluble supplements Calcium, Vitamin D3 & Vitamin K2 

 Not all at the same time

-With your breakfast or glass of milk take the K2

-With Your lunch take your Calcium and Vitamin D3

Step 4.  Keep up a good oral hygiene routine – brushing 2-3 times a day, using mouthwash and flossing.

Step 5.  For Two weeks straight I tried oil pulling after watching a YouTube video (will add a link) – you put one tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth preferably before you have eaten, swish around in your mouth for at least 10- 20 mins while in shower etc.. spit out and rinse then brush with fluoride toothpaste.

After the Two weeks, just oil pull twice a week to keep up good oral hygiene, I’m not 100% sure if this contributed but was willing to give it a try. It definitely whitened my teeth.

The hard outer layer of your teeth called Enamel is made of minerals like calcium phosphate. 

Enamel is harder than your bones not only that but it’s the hardest substance in your whole body. 



Please DO NOT trust cheaper alternatives for the K2 manufactured in China and bottled in the UK as you will see no benefits.
